The Hong Kong Center for Clinical Research
The Hong Kong Center for Clinical Research (previously the Center for Health and Medical Research) was set up in 2007. The center director Dr. Edith Lau is a world expert in osteoporosis and other bone diseases research. The center is the first and only clinical trials site located in the private sector in Hong Kong. More than 30 projects have been completed in collaboration with the leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies (including Amgen Inc., Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., Eli Lilly and Company and others). FDA and EMA audits generated excellent compliance reports.
Unique expertise includes: large patient database, tested recruitment methods, patient retention service models, regular GCP training and standard operating procedures according to global standards.
The areas of research include musculoskeletal diseases, ophthalmology, oncology, rheumatology and others.
