Located in Hong Kong, the Center is the first independent clinical trials clinic in the private market. With a proven track record in designing and conducting clinical trials in the region, we partner with pharmaceutical, healthtech, medtech and biotech companies with study design tailored solutions and conduct of clinical trials to bring the latest innovations to market. The Center has a depth of expertise in the fields of aging, osteoarthritis, diabetes mellitus, and Alzheimer's disease, woman’s health and other degenerative disease.
To collaborate with biotechnology pharmaceutical, devices and diagnostic companies to design and conduct clinical trials, so that new drugs, devices and diagnostic test can be brought to the market in the most cost-effective manner.
To contribute substantial ethnically Chinese patient data to clinical trials, so that new drugs, devices and diagnostic tests can be rapidly registered with the CFDA of China, as well as the FDA and EMA.
MEET THE TEAM
Dr Edith Lau
(MBBS, FRCP, FFPHM, MSc, MFCM, FHKCCM, FHKAM, MD)
Dr Lau was Professor of Community Medicine in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2004, she founded several private clinics for patient care and the conduct of clinical trials. She has since conducted more than 30 clinical trials in the field of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, cardiovascular diseases, hyperlipidemia and Alzheimer’s disease. These studies were large-scale and successful audited by the FDA and the EMA. Dr. Lau is currently conducting clinical trials in the Hong Kong Center for Clinical Research.
Ms. Jenny Ng has practiced as a radiographer since 1988. She has conducted radiological measurement in more than 6 studies in musculoskeletal diseases. She is currently head radiographer in the Hong Kong Center for clinical research. She oversees QA, QC and clinical measurement in clinical trials.
PATIENT CARE OFFICER
Ms. Cecilia Ku has worked in the private clinic setting for 15 years. Her contribution to the work of Hong Kong Center for Clinical Research are patient liaison, patient recruitment and supervised clinical measurement.
Ms. Ella Chen has experience as study coordinator in more than 60 Phase I to III clinical trials. She has extensive experience in managing clinical trials including trials in osteoarthritis, ophthalmology, cardiovascular disease, hyperlipidemia and Alzheimer’s disease. She is currently managing clinical trials conducted in the Hong Kong Center for Clinical Research.
ASSISTANT OPERATION MANAGER
Ms. Zoe Chan has worked as a Research Officer in the field of clinical trials for 10 years. She has wide experience in patient recruitment, patient liaison, clinical measurement and eCRF data entry and validation. She contributes to the above duties in the Hong Kong Center for Clinical Research.
PATIENT CARE OFFICER
Ms. Winki Leung has worked in private clinic setting for over 10 years. Her contribution to the work of Hong Kong Center for Clinical Research are patient support work, patient appointments and supervised clinical measurement.
